Travel Day - Lake Corpus Christi State Park, Mathis, TX

Our first camp.  It is really lovely here and they have sewer connections. That was our number one priority yesterday. We stopped at CCRV and bought some high powered deodorizer for the black tank and within minutes it was a 100% improvement.  Lesson learned:  no boondocking without dump stations reasonably close by.

The drive here took about an hour and we stopped by the grocery store and got food for a couple of days here at the park. There are not many here this week so we were able to pick our spot.
We have Wed and Thur to get the rest of the cleaning and putting away done and I am looking forward to a little down time while we are here. No television service and we don't have a satellite yet so we are just reading, watching DVDs, taking walks and reading (at least I am reading).

Nothing really special going on. That in itself is sufficient to make our stay a good one. Will check in again before we leave.

Happy Traills...
